The vintage safety deposit box (so there may be a few nicks or dents here and there but it truly beautiful and was rescued from an old vault in the small town where I live) spoke to me as soon as I saw it and knew I wanted to try using it as a frame

The colors deeply reminded me of a Maypop (or passion flower) so the name just had to be "Maypop"

The Olive Wood frame is a "seconds" quality meaning it may have some extra character (dents or nooks and crannies, discoloration, etc.) but to me it only adds to the charm! These bowls are handmade in Turkey (Turkiye) from Olive Wood which does not require a tree to be cut, instead the wood is collected from the pruning process that is required to care for the trees.
