The story of Icarus is about triumph and risk, ego and hubris. I am drawn to painting sweeping epics like Icarus, as well as intensely personal (and equally epic) topics such as Combat, PTSD, Death and Injury. My paintings are preposterous, large, and complex, made up of layers of poured paint.
