Most west siders are probably familiar with the stately cottonwood smack dab on the beach at Huntington Reservation, Bay Village facing east. Seems that old friend has kicked the bucket. It withstood a lightning strike earlier this year, and after further inspection, was discovered to have significant trunk damage.
