I had scouted the area and was positive this was the biggest bull in the area

It was the oddest behaviour of a grizzly bear I had ever witnessed

the majority of these mortalities are connected to human activity

making it very difficult to get close enough for a photograph

As they got older and more curious we would often go for walks together in the woods. On this day they were intrigued by a bent limb that became a wonderful backdrop for this photograph.
