Larches are the only Canadian deciduous conifers, turning golden and shedding all their leaves (needles) in fall. There is a short window of time during a two week period each year when larch valley becomes "golden" with colour. The backdrop of the ten peaks covered in a dusting of snow accents the grandeur of Mother Nature's scene!
