A COOL MISTY SUMMER SUNRISE FROM THE PRESERVE WILDFLOWER PARK The silvery checkerspot butterfly caterpillarThis July morning started out like most other recent mornings with cool temperatures that brought mist to the low lying landscape here in Northern Illinois. I decided to photograph the sunrise and some of the wildflowers at Burnidge Forest Preserve this morning. I arrived at the trailhead with plenty of time before the colors of the sunrise would dominate the sky. I came to a clearing with a few wildflowers in bloom and thought this would be a nice
