Saxon Long Dragon Bow Brooch - TB16 Rus replacing the buckle end withThis long Saxon bow brooch features a dragon's snout design. Bow brooches were worn by Germanic peoples like the Goths, Franks, Anglo Saxons and Vikings and were influenced by late Roman fibulae brooches. Cast in bronze, this piece is also available with a silver plated or blackened silver plated finish. This brooch has a steel pin for strength. Long, measures 4 5 8" (10. 8 cm) in length.
