Victorian British Army Royal Reserve Regiment of Dragoons Helmet Plate Badge Caubeen badge Probably Royal Company of ArchersAn original and rare other ranks helmet plate of Her Majesties Reserve Regiment of Dragoons. 105 x 123 mm die stamped on gilding metal 12 pointed star, central motif of a lion over Victorian Crown (dragoons) within circlet. Rear fitted with two lug mounts, clinched, they seem to have been reattached at a wider position. This is probably a period reattachment or repositioning, as a similar braze has been utilised.
