The stackable Stool 60 (est. 1933) is a result of this and best known for Aaltos invention for bending solid wood creating the famous L shaped leg. Referred to by Aalto as "the little sister of the architectural column." The Stool 60 received the coveted Good Design Long Life Design Award in Japan in 2019.
