It would clean up nicely to refill with something useful for events

much like the many signal cannons used for civil war reenactments

Matching CFL44 Mess Kit with Zelt Strap box Created in the mid 1930'sA very nice and pretty clean matching CFL44 mess kit. The bottom is actually double marked on each bale, which isn't unheard of, but also not common. It was found with this zelt strap, so I left them together. This is not quite an unissued example, but it is damn close to being the next best thing. Just a very nice example.
