It is in very good condition and has probably never been played

This is a well used example and the elastic chin strap is a rather good indication of its age as it is a clearly functional addition and simple cloth ribbons are often found sewn to known war time caps

This is the style of map that you will frequently find pinned up in bunkers. It does also indicate a color code for German colonies which I was not able to find used anywhere. I guess that can now be your Where's Waldo style quest.
