There is some staining on the front and some fading throughout (mostly noticeable on the sides when the bag is opened up)

The pad is wrapped in aluminum and I am not brave enough to remove that, I am sure whatever satisfaction it would bring my curiosity would be far outweighed by the clean up. The box is a little crushed on one side. Just an interesting item reminiscent of some of the quick shine products sold today.
