1876 – 1898 Rare Antique John Turton Sheffield Pewter Tea Set – Tea Pot, Creamer & Sugar Bowl Vanity The item is stamped underneathJohn Turton was established in Sheffield in 1876 at Times Building in Bow Street and manufactured under the name John Turton until 1898 when the firm became John Turton & Co. and in 1910 became a Ltd. switching to new premises in Kendal Works until 1916 when the firm closed permanently. The firm also used the trade names Buxbridge and Cadena during its existence. The set consist of the pewter tea pot, creamer and matching sugar bowl, all manufactured
