The original cap and clasp were made in fine silver, and granulated. Granulation is an ancient fusing process involving the making of tiny spheres which are applied with a paintbrush and fused with a mouth torch. Then I make a mold, pull wax from the mold, and cast the wax using a lost wax casting process. Each cap and clasp is then finished and polished
