Wantirna added the petit verdot grapes to the blend in the 1990s, giving this wine an added backbone of natural acidity and tannins. Majority of the grapes for this wine come from the original vines of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc vines planted in 1963. The remainder is from the more recently
