20th Century Jacla Necklace - Turquoise OAD-FW18-DAY-ONE The following measurements are forJacla style necklaces were traditionally worn by Rio Grande Pueblo Native Americans in the early 20th century. Traditionally, the two loops would be tied to the necklace and then removed to be worn as earrings by guys and gals, alike. Pre 1950s, the Jacla was tied at the bottom, rather than strung as a part of the necklace, as seen here. Made with white spiny oyster shell at the bottom center or the "corn", heishe beads and red trade beads at the top.
