Sadeq underlay Big pink and red rugA gorgeous 1930s Heriz carpet from north west Persia. Stepsided terracotta field with large dark blue central medallion with ivory inner medallion and terracotta flowerhead centre. Ivory spandrels; all over angular flowers and foliage; dark blue palmette and floral main border with pale blue details; pale gold floral guards. Slight wear in places and slight loss to ends but otherwise even pile and good condition for its age. Robust handle. Video here
