The bottom line is that if you are going to fish for catfish there is a high likelihood that you will end up using a two-piece fishing rod

Huge capacity and waterproof sealed drag system, beast of a fly reel producing incredible stopping power

jules007 Posted November 2, 2024 Report Posted November 2, 2024 Im not a stranger to using a centre pin reel float fishing for carp on an avon rod, this was on a club lake where largest carp was just over 14lb, however having scored a pleasant but not life changing win last night on lotto im rather tempted to treat myself to a Marco Cortesi 4 1/2 inch pin reel, in the past i used an old bakerlight pin also a nice strike right pin for a bit of course angling Of course im not suggesting trying a pin for big carp just up to 20lb i guess Quote

Will they be calm and placid
