1890s boot in purple Giraffe held by the Metropolitan MuseumThese tall button boots are from a late Victorian design sold by Jack Jacobus Ltd. in Great Britain. The original boot, dating from 1895 1900, is held by the Museum at FIT (accession 71. 202. 16). The boot is 4 inches tall, stitched by hand on 5x7 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall.
